Carl joined International SOS in 2007 as Consulting Engagement Director, leading the US Commercial Consulting Practice. In 2010, he was promoted to Group Product Director – Healthcare Management Services where he managed the global HMS product portfolio. In 2014, Carl relocated to Houston to serve as Vice President – Energy, Mining & Infrastructure, and in 2017 also acquired responsibility for management of sales and marketing in the Central Region.
As of September 2025, Carl Spitznagel has been appointed to General Manager and Senior Vice President of North America Client Success. In this role, Carl directly oversees the Regional Directors of U.S. Commercial Markets, guiding their efforts to strengthen client relationships and ensure client success with International SOS programs. He also provides functional leadership to the Americas Client Service Delivery Center of Excellence (COE), ensuring alignment across global, regional and sector strategies. Carl is also a member of the H3S Global Executive Committee.
