Tom joined International SOS in London, United Kingdom in 2005 playing an operational role in supporting the Northern European assistance activities and business. Soon after, Tom moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where he worked in the Johannesburg Assistance Center for 9 years helping to develop the operation and assist in overseeing medical & security cases that existed in sub Saharan Africa. During his time in Johannesburg, Tom’s responsibilities ranged from maintaining a dedicated fleet of Air Ambulances that brought specialized medical transportation to a region with poor medical infrastructure and several remote sites together with providing assistance services to offshore Oil & Gas clientele. Tom relocated to Philadelphia, United States in 2015 as International Operations Manager for the Americas region and has progressed to Senior Operations Manager and subsequently Director of Assistance Operations. In the roles that Tom has occupied, he has overseen several thousand assistance cases per year that include medical evacuations, repatriations, security cases and the more proactive and preventative cases of pre-trip and travel advice.

In his current role, Tom is responsible for oversight of the overall Intl.SOS Philadelphia Assistance platform together with his Medical & Security counterparts managing and in charge of the quality, people and client operational relationships and agendas.
